Diving in stone town Zanzibar dive sites are more than experience and a Refresher course will be required for any diver who has not dived for 12 months or longer.
Proof of your last dive will be required when diving with us. A refresher course includes theory and a pool session covering the basic scuba diving skills.
As the Stone Town dive sites offer protected areas, ocean refresher courses just before your dive are possible (conditions permitting) if you don’t have time for the refresher course the afternoon before.
The Boribu dive site can be reached from Stone Town. It’s a long boat ride, but well worth it. It is a colorful underwater world with huge barrel sponges, columnar corals, and gorgonian sea fans.
You can find large lobsters, moray eels, and schools of pelagic fish on Boribu. If you are really lucky you might even see a whale shark swim by in season.
